Avoid things that suck

It’s as good a rule of thumb as any. I got into this business because I was tired of seeing things that sucked.

I was tired of programmers that didn’t understand design. I was tired of designers who didn’t understand the web. I was tired of Flashy, overloaded sites that couldn’t communicate. I was tired of a world full of sites that could’ve been better.

Far too often, I saw agencies paying too much for too little. I saw projects that were either over-budget or over-schedule. Programmers were all either good and expensive or cheap and slow. I couldn’t find the balance of skill and speed that I expected.

Things don’t have to be this way. We should have sites that work as great as they look. We should expect search engine optimization and accessibility to come standard - not to be expensive options. We should be able to count on an identical product regardless of browser or platform.

Let me make the hurting stop. Take a moment and learn about where I came from, how I approach my projects, and what it’s like to work with me. I hope it will convince you to talk to me about how to make your future web projects 100% suck-free.
