Pixelluxe Redesign 2009

XHTML & CSS Cutup from PSD file / Content Management for Blog and Portfolio / JavaScript / AJAX / Contact Form

I think it’s safe to say that the hardest project to get right is your own. I’ve got such exacting standards and would be embarrassed to point any potential clients to a site I didn’t love. I’m glad to say I’ve finally got one I can get behind. Brad Soroka did an amazing job putting this design together. With his help I was able to incorporate some fun effects without sacrificing usability, search engine rankings, load times, or browser compatibility.

JavaScript was used on the homepage for a nice animated effect explaining the process for working with me. The site can grow and shrink as needed for site impaired users and is screen-reader ready. All the forms meet accessibility guidelines. There are gorgeous AJAX image galleries in the work section. The blog content is managed by a simple home-brewed CMS built in PHP/MySQL.

This site overhaul has been a long time coming and I’m super excited to have it released. Feel free to peruse the code and get a feel for how I can put this attention to detail to work on your projects.
