Beautiful designs deserve beautiful code
Even the best layouts can fall apart in the wrong hands. The technical requirements for making a design work on the web are more than most great designers can handle. And why should they? Creatives should focus on being creative. Lots of agencies budget in a full time programmer when they only really need someone from project to project. That’s where I come in. I’ll take your design files and turn them into something that works on the web.
- Hand-coded XHTML & CSS
- Dreamweaver is to HTML as Microsoft Word is to the English language. Yes, it makes writing it a little bit easier, but you still need to know what you’re trying to say. Every character of my code is typed by hand to ensure that your code is optimized for your content without any unnecessary junk. Every page of code validates to XHTML 1.0 Strict and CSS 2.1.
- Work in your format
- While it’s much easier to convert designs built in Photoshop, I can accept just about any file type you could throw at me. PDF, AI, INDD, JPG, etc. Work where you’re comfortable and let me figure out the details. All cutup is done by hand to guarantee pixel-perfect quality.
- Keep it like a secret
- We won’t tell if you won’t. If you don’t want your clients to know you’re going through a third-party, I’m not gonna be the one to tell ‘em. Your confidentiality is safe with us - all I ask is that you give me a heads up on any sites that need to be hush hush so I can promote the right ones.
- True to your vision
- With good design, every pixel matters. My cutups are done with an extreme attention to every detail of your layout. You can rest assured that the images and code you get back will faithfully reproduce your creative side on all platforms.
- Search Engine Friendly
- Search engines are a marketers best friend. Sites coded in old table-based layouts or full of Flash do a terrible job communicating their content to search engines. All of my programming is done with your content in mind, so you never have to worry about whether search engines know what your site is about.
- Accessible to everyone
- Accessibility is more than just a convenience measure; It’s the law. In addition to helping increase your CYA-factor, I make sure that your site looks the same in all browsers (Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer 6+) and can make mobile and printer-friendly versions as well.
